Recruiter reached out through linkedin, interview focused on swift, swiftui, async wait, and swift concurrency. Be very comfortable with app development as there are multiple live coding rounds. First round was a live coding round with another engineer. Onsite was five hours, 1 behavioral, 1 cross-functional, 1 system, 2 coding.

Capture the Flag weed out process in the application itself. Found the four flags and got a take-home assessment. I did the take-home assessment (Recipe app) and was ultimately denied afterward with a boilerplate email. I know it was boilerplate because I had a friend apply for a completely different role, and they received the exact same email after their take-home (which was later in the interview process for them). This not only feels incredibly fake but doesn't inspire a lot of confidence that their team ACTUALLY looked through my code. My guess is they run the code through some AI engine, and it gives a thumbs up or thumbs down, which would be highly ironic considering they tell you not to use AI on your take-home. If you are thinking of applying to work here, don't waste your time with an interview process that is more rigorous than Apple for a company that clearly will only care about you as a number.
