This was the second round after a competency based phone interview 2 weeks earlier. I had two interviews which were a mix of both competency and technical. I was asked questions about VaR and CAPM. The 2.5 hour case study was split into 4 parts: > > 1. I was given 10 balance sheets and 10 companies and was supposed to match them (40min) > 2. I was supposed to give my opinion on a company's bond after reading through its financial report and present the findings to the team (1hr) > 3. Math/ Bond/ Brain teasers (40min) > 4. Write a code for N factorial in your favorite programming language (10min)

My experience with the interview process started off promising, with HR initially being responsive and helpful. It began with a screening, followed by a brief knowledge test, and then two interviews with PMs. However, it quickly became apparent that one of the PMs had already made up her mind—her lack of enthusiasm and professionalism made it feel like the interview was just a formality. In contrast, the second PM was engaged and respectful, which I appreciated. What was most disappointing, though, was the way HR handled the process afterward. There was no closure—no follow-up, no rejection email, just complete silence. It left a really negative impression. I understand that hiring is competitive and not everyone gets the role, but ghosting candidates after putting in time and effort is both unprofessional and discouraging.
