I became a technical intern through the college recruiters for the program the summer of 2012. Applied for the LEAP program once I was a technical intern. The process was laid back and they are usually more partial to interns getting into the program than outside students.
Fairly straight forward and easy process. Questions were mainly behavioral, some low level technical questions. Usually goes in three rounds: HR phone call -> Hiring manager -> Team phone call.

The interviewer was very relaxed and comforting . She aske me if I was comfortable not having any issues till Day. I replied politely and energetically that I was excited for the interview.
