Recruiter contacted me and stated that first command was very interested in my background and would I be interested in an interview with them. At first I wasnt interested but recruiter stated they were very motivated. Had a phone interview with hiring manager who was very interested in my experience and considered me for a couple positions. Next step was to bring me in a for onsite interview.. recruiter then contacted me and said they were very interested and scheduled onsite interview with several team members. The day before the interview first command abruptly cancelled the interview with no explanation. When pressed they gave a very vague answer that someone I had worked with (name unknown) had given them negative but unspecified feedback to compel them to cancel interview. They never checked my references including former managers or colleagues or subordinates. The recruiter stated that he had never experienced a similar circumstance when presenting a candidate.
