Process took around 4-5 weeks. I found a posting for an AE position on my university's career page. I submitted my resume and cover letter and received a call from a recruiter two days later. That interview lasted around half an hour and basically consisted of going over my resume, learning about FI and the AE position, and what I could bring to the sales position. After that interview I was scheduled to fly to Portland for an in house interview five days later. I met with three people during my interview. The first interview went over my resume again in a more meticulous manner, and challenged me to think about how well I could perform in the AE role. The second was more laid back and asked me about my work experience and education to possibly see if there was another position for me. The last was with an AE team leader and was more focused on learning about working as an AE. Six days after my interview I received a request to initiate a background check. That same day I also heard from one of my interviewers for "follow up" questions. Unfortunately this was during Thanksgiving so I waited a week to call him back. Once I got in touch the phone call was mainly about my impressions of FI and how I thought I could work in the AE position. After that conversation I was told to call my interviewer back in a week in the event that I had not heard back from FI until then. I called back a week later and had one last conversation about the position, then received an offer.
