Overall, interview process was good and well designed. Recruiter explained the process in detail and answer all my questions. Interview process was:
Phone screening->Coding->
Boxing Day(coding->Behavioral->System design->Leadership->wrap)
At end of the process, recruiter reached out after 2 days and said I didn't make it. Later on call, the reason for me not been successful was because the position was filler internally.
I was disappointed not because I didn't make it, but because the time and effort I put into this, only to know that position was filled INTERNALLY. If they already knew that its always going to be internal position, I don't know why you will open such position for external candidate in first place ? Either there is a disconnect between recruiting team and hiring managers or they simply d not care about candidates time and effort. Either way, it doesn't reflect good on company.
My only suggestion to other candidates will be to be careful and ask in begging if position is TRUELY external before you embark on long journey.
