      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso FleishmanHillard (Dallas, TX)

      Colloquio

Careful how much time you spend with this company, apparently ghosting candidates is a thing here. Their recruiter reached out to me and although I was not looking to leave my current company I was open to learning more about FH and role over the phone. The recruiter was friendly and it seemed they were going in the right direction in terms of social analytics. From there I decided to submit my resume, and it took a month to schedule the next interview with the team. That interview consisted of a two hour Google Hangout interview with five different people during the workday, which for me luckily I can work from home when needed but I could see this being an issue for others. Everyone was nice and asked questions about my experience, pretty standard until interviewing with one of the VPs who seemed to be too busy with other things to fully focus on our time together. From there they assigned a small project to "...understand my approach to a real-world client scenario and how I would apply a learned methodology in social writings, strategy and social benchmarking to it." This assignment was given to me on a Friday and was required to be completed by the following Monday. It took me around a total of 4 hours to figure out how to get into the swing of Crimson Hexagon (their social listening tool of choice) and dig through the data to write a two-page summary that I felt suited the ask since I was not being paid for this assignment. I submitted the assignment on Sunday, received confirmation that the team would review and get back to me after the holiday (being Thanksgiving week and all). It is now 2019, and I've sent three emails with no acknowledgment at all. I would have not taken the interview if I knew I would be treated with so little respect for my time and not providing any type of next steps or insights to how the team felt about my assignment. It's totally fine when a company decides to move on with other candidates, but please do the rest a favor and let them actually know what is going on after they have spent extra personal time with your company. I mean, who knows maybe this is a way to get new ideas and strategies for their clients without paying for work.
