Really lovely team, lots of context given up front, and overall thoughtful interview process that allowed us both to get to know each other. They moved quickly through the stages, but not overwhelmingly so.

Don't bother with the interviews. I breezed through all the technical challenges, got to the final cultural fit interview with the CTO. I was later told I didn't have the skills they were looking for, even though the Head Architect, Head of Engineering, Head of Product, a staff engineer and the hiring manager all gave me a strong hire in the technical rounds. Waste of time, generic rejection email too. I did tell them I would be working fully remote which they were OK with, I guess they didn't think I would actually make it through the process and just wanted to waste time, then thought better of it when I got to the end.

I had a call with an agency recruiter (external to Float). They were 15 minutes late to the call. They spoke the whole time about the role because they only had 15 minutes left. I was not prompted to answer any real questions. I was just asked to talk about myself and what I was looking for.
I was then invited to a video interview with the CEO, Rob. I thought it went pretty well, asked a couple of important questions. But it was more conversational.
