The process started great, the recruiter was incredibly kind and had a lot of very flattering things to say about my experience. He asked all of the typical recruiter questions and even most of what a hiring manager would ask. He said I was incredibly, if not overly, qualified. I met with the hiring manager who asked me zero questions about my experience. Mostly gave me insight into the industry and day to day. I asked some specifics, learned about the team, it was a nice conversation. I was asked if I thought it was something I would like to do, I said yes, and was told that they'd work to get me set up for the next two rounds with the recruiter. I was thrilled! I got a rejection the next day without reason. I have attempted to get more information, since this contradicted what I was told, have not heard back.
