First interview went well and I was moved to the next round, which was a 45-minute schedule meeting with the hiring manager. We chatted for an hour and a half. Had good rapport, was grateful for all the extra time to learn about me, the role, the company, her management style, personality, et al. This was the week before Xmas. I was told she was going to have me scheduled to interview with another adjacent senior leader, but to sit tight because given the holidays, everyone would be OOO. So it'd be after the new year. Great! I reached out to the recruiter a couple days into the new year about getting scheduled for that interview and received a REALLY generic "we filled the position. I'll keep your resume on file." Huh?!!? Ok, thank you for letting me know. I guess they moved forward during the holidays after all. A follow up would have been helpful as I spent a lot time preparing for that next chat.
