I just want to let everyone know my process in trying to get a job a foot locker and why I'm giving my interview process such a negative review. I have gone to FOUR interviews and feel like I have enough experience to give a thorough review on the foot locker interview process. I first applied to foot locker online in early February 2016. About about 2 weeks later, I received a call to come in for my first interview at Gwinnett Place Mall (if you live in the metro Atlanta area you will be very familiar with the malls I list in my review). I went to the interview, which consisted of a group of managers from different malls. There was a group of candidates who sat in a row and answers the questions going down the line. After the interview, they told us that they would call us a week from now if they were interested in a second interview. They told us to remain positive and keep our application updated online if you didn't receive a call. I never got a call. In March, I received a phone call for another interview, but this time it was at North DeKalb Mall. When I went to the interview, it was the same group interview style just like the other interview. The managers asked the same questions. They also said they would be calling back, but I never got a call from them either. For my third interview in April, I was sent an email inviting me to this interview at South Dekalb Mall.It went the same way as the the first 2. The fourth one in May was back at North Dekalb and you can probably guess how that went. I also received an email contacting me on that interview. Now, I will express my aggravation: at each interview, the same questions were asked. The questions aren't difficult to answer. I ALWAYS say the right thing. Some people come to the interview dressed unprofessionally. And probably the most aggravating of all is that I see the SAME managers at these interviews. Like I'm not really understanding why I've gone so many times and haven't been hired yet. Do they not see how motivated I am to try to get a job there? I have almost a year and a half of customer service experience and a year of retail expierence and have no clue as to why the don't like me. Are there more "qualified" people? What really upsets me is that the my keep inviting me to these interviews and then don't hire me. Like, I know they probably remember my face, so if they don't like something about me, they they need to stop waisting my time inviting me to these interviews with no intentions of hiring me. I might go one more time just to see if they will see if they will really hire me. Other than that, I will try other sneaker stores like finish line and champs sports as well as retail clothing because I have no luck with foot locker.

I applied online and got a phone call a week later to do the in person interview. In person I had to visit the store and ask for the manager that contacted me.

It was 10-15 minutes. Went pretty easy. They asked about me random questions and then told me about the job. The interviewer was nice and told me not to worry and that it is just general things.
The interview was quick and easy. They asked basic sales-related questions and just wanted to make sure you would be pleasant and helpful. No in-depth shoe knowledge is necessary. Not for you if you want to be a laid back sales person.
