The interview process was very lengthy and had a rigorous process (approx. 1 month). It started with a non-technical interview via Microsoft Teams, followed by a series of personality and Wonderlic assessments. The amount of time and energy invested has been the most from any company I've ever experienced. I also had to follow up with the recruiter after every step of the process to ensure I was still in the running as a potential candidate.

The application process requires a personality test that seems to last forever and a somewhat simple problem solving skill test. Their application process is tedious to say the least.
The hr screener emailed me a series of 5 emails after I provided availability for a 30 minute initial screen. One email was to a link to a word doc that he requested to be completed before the screen. The doc failed to open on an iPad and the other 4 emails were calendar notifications for the same day and time but slightly different in what was attached to email - weird. Unsure why so many were sent rapid fire.
I did not complete the questionnaire he requested I work on prior to the initial screening. He was ok with this and asked I complete it after the interview and then told me we’d be reviewing each of the fields on the word doc during the interview. He then told me to keep all my questions until the end of his questioning and that the interview is being recorded.
I answered all his questions and he was very concerned with precise dates of previous jobs vs the actual role and what I did within the role.
He completed the questioning and let me know that if selected, I’d need to be I. The field and learn how the installers work prior to the possibility of becoming a project manager, a role I’ve had for 20 years now with other companies. I was OK with that. He then said he’d send a list of required tool s I’d need to purchase myself to take part in this 2 month field training - I have the tools already, but feel its quite tacky for a company this large to require the purchase of tools needed for training.
The interview finished and I quickly remembered my interview with this company handled nearly the exact same way back in 1993 when the person interviewed me argued with my on what the 3 primary colors are in video and cabling for video.
This company is draconian in how the handle interviewing and I’m sure it isn’t a fun or exciting place to work.
Shortly after the call he sent a message letting me know they have candidates with much more experience they are moving forward with. I let him know that after our call my client extended my contract by 2 years. Perfect timing for me!

Got ghosted from the interviewer. Not a good interview experience. However interviewer was punctual and came on time and seemed experienced and knew what he was doing. Asked relevant questions.
