I got a mail from Fractal regarding openings of data science through a famous job portal in India. The mail contained a link for online coding test on hacker rank . It was 90 minutes test which contained 3 questions, 2 were general coding problems and 1 was on data science. I cleared that round and got mail from HR for further interview process which included two tech rounds and one HR round. I was called for F2F interview at Gurgaon office so that all rounds could be done in single day. But when reached there, they arranged a telephonic round. Questions in this round were relatively easy for me as I had been attending interviews at various companies and also got offer from most of them. The round was mainly based on theoretical machine learning questions and my project based questions . After this, things started turning bad as I got to know that panel wasn't available for 2nd round , so I was asked to leave. HR was supposed to share feedback of first round and 2nd round was supposed to be on call (not F2F as panel wasn't available). I kept following with HR for continuous 2-3 days and got feedback on 4th day. It was negative and reason stated was high competition and better candidate than me. I still don't understand this feedback as I was pretty confident about clearing it. I didn't find this interview tough at all as I've been grilled thoroughly at other companies' interview which I've cleared as well. HR should try to close interview ASAP. Please note that if you ask for feedback after these many days, it will loose the impact that candidate had created on interviewer. It's hard for interviewer to remember all the candidates for a whole week, especially when interviewer is regularly taking multiple interviews.
