I applied through the Careers section on Fred Meyer's website, originally for a different position in the store. The interview was pretty easy and was values and experience based. I was offered the job on the spot and a few weeks later was contacted about taking on the cashier role instead of the one that I originally applied for.

Pretty straightforward, business casual attire, describe yourself, work ethics, personality, how you work with others, or take instructions, handle situations, hypotheticals, no drug test, hired and orientation scheduled next day.
