I received a call from the HR rep asking if I am still interested and then scheduled a phone interview. In the official phone interview, both the HR rep and my future boss were present. First, I was asked basic questions like "can you work in the U.S?" from the same HR rep. She described the position further and asked questions like: can you give an example of an ethical situation where you had to act, can you give an example of a safety situation where you had to act, what's a weakness, what's a strength?? Then, my future boss asked me questions about my experience with MS Access/Excel/CAD/Inventor. Not really technical, more like "have you worked with this? and if so what specifically? ok, cool." the only weird part was the long pauses that were after each question because both of them were writing down my responses.
I was notified I got the job two business days later. Thereafter, it was a long annoying outsourced background check that was followed by an extensive physical of everything (x-ray, lung capacity, movement, vision, hearing, urine, etc) done at a clinic near me. Only in passing these, I received an official offer letter letter at $21.50 (one of the higher paid internships at the site by two bucks) and then a housing form (free and surprisingly nicely furnished housing!).
