Colloquio
4-5 rounds. first with recruitment specialist, then with hiring manager, then whiteboard system design and problem solving, then detailed project description, then HRBP. The process took over a month, but people interviewing me were friendly.

Really weird phone screener. Didn’t talk about the role at all but just immediately rattled out about 10 behavioral questions which is strange for a phone screener. Asked them one question about the job responsibilities which they said they don’t know the answer to. Seemed to already have made their mind up. Received the rejection email the next day.

Four stage interview process, with the third stage broken into two 1 hour slots back-to-back for a total of five interviews. This was then topped off with a 1 hour discussion of the offer, benefits overview, etc.
1. Recruiter interview (30 minutes)
2. Hiring Manager interview (45 minutes)
3. Technical whiteboarding (1 hour)
3.5. Team conversation w/ two members of the team (1 hour)
4. Conversation with VP of Engineering (30 minutes)
5. Offer conversation with recruiter & HRBP (1 hour)
I would like to outline that my primary goal leaving this interview review here is to highlight how much care was put into my interview process from the recruiter — I legitimately have never felt that an offer was as thoughtful and human as the offer I received at Fullscript. After leaving the offer call, I genuinely felt that I had been heard throughout the process, and that the offer was handled in a way that genuinely took my personal situation into account and that the recruiter had pulled whatever levers they could to ease any complicated transitions for my family. This genuinely human-centric communication and approach made accepting this role a no-brainer.

The technical whiteboarding session involved reviewing a cross-platform (web, iOS, Android) faux-feature design for a well known music application, and walking through how you would architect the feature to ensure reusability in areas where reusability is possible, as well as identify areas that would need net-new contributions and how to add them in a scaleable fashion.
