The first stage was an HR screening. Everything went well — I talked about myself, then the HR representative introduced the company, and we asked each other questions. After that, she said she would get back to me with information about the technical interview with the Design Lead. That’s exactly what happened.
I then had a call with the Design Lead. We spoke about my soft skills and hard skills, and I also asked the questions that were important to me. After that, he mentioned that the next stage would be a small test assignment and asked whether I would be willing to complete it.
They sent me the task, and it was indeed not very big. I completed it in about 2–3 hours and submitted it. Later, I received feedback, but it was a standard response saying they had decided to move forward with another candidate.
When I followed up and asked for more detailed feedback, I was ignored. All communication throughout the process was exclusively with HR and only via email.
