Applied at jobstreet as senior role, they advertised at 6k to 9k. I put the lowest as the expected and called for the first online Interview.
The interview was simple enough with the technical manager talking about Vue and front end stuffs.
I basically passed it and got technical assesstment and they ask me if either I wanted to do at home or during 2nd interview, I told them i wanted to do at home it is create website using Vue, and for me it took around 4 hours to do with styling. I have no idea how they expected me to do in 1-2 hours.
Furthermore, the way they test the application is like Ive built for 2 days or so eg. they test for errors and all, and Ive only built for happy path to meet their requirements because of short time. Do in mind they gave me only 1 day to do and I still working in my current job hence not much time.
Then I got the 2nd interview but it is on site for some reason and im okay with it. Before the interview the HR asked me what was my expected and I said it was 6k and she told it was too high and i put 5.5k and the HR still said is it negotiable. Like seriously this is the senior role salary here? I pity for these people shouldve make 7k+.
The interview is conducted by 4 people including the CTO, manager,hr, and other COO or something and its mostly about attitude.
Got answer the next week which I am not selected.
In summary I think they underpaid their developers.
