First step was with the HR, which we mainly discussed about my interests and to goals and on which team I should be applying for. Then, I was asked some basic question about data analysis, and how can I use my precious experiences in their team. The phone overall went fine. They were nice and they were was genuinely trying to match me with what I like.

Spoke to a recruiter, who seemed to be a third party hire. I was asked questions about my employment history and regarding my expertise in sql. I was moved on to an interview with the team, but this wasn't productive as it seems like the team is a software development team and is not familiar with data science or how it is applied in general, or how it will be applied at GE.

The job is based in Xian , China. After 3 days after application online I got call from interviewer. The interviewer asked some basic theoretical machine learning and data science questions, details of projects I have done. After that briefly introduced what data scientist do for this position. Didn't get further response after interview.
