I had an initial interview with the hiring manager, and overall it went well. The discussion focused on my previous experience, how my skills aligned with the role, and a few questions directly related to the job description. Toward the end of the interview, the hiring manager clearly explained the next steps, which were expected to be a loop interview.
A couple of hours later, I received an email from the recruiter/coordinator congratulating me on completing the interview and mentioning that someone would reach out to me regarding the next steps. After that, however, there were several weeks of silence. Despite multiple follow-up emails, I eventually received a message stating that they would not be moving forward with my candidacy.
What was particularly disappointing was the lack of any explanation or feedback. I reached out several times requesting clarification or constructive feedback, but I did not receive any relevant response. This experience was frustrating, especially given that the hiring manager had clearly outlined the next stage of the process during the interview. Being left without relevant communication after such signals made the experience discouraging and left me feeling quite disappointed.
