      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso GEICO (Corpus Christi, TX) nel mese di mag 2015

      Colloquio

This was the lengthiest hiring process I have ever experienced. 1. The Online Application Typical for most jobs. 2. Personality Test Following the application I received an e-mail instructing me to take a personality test online which is one of those rate most likely or least likely type quizzes. 3. 1st Phone Interview The following day after taking the personality test I was invited to take a phone interview which I scheduled for the following day. It was basically a more in depth explanation of the job where the interviewer asked whether or not I would be willing and able to attend the lengthy process without missing any days which is roughly a 3 month process. 3 weeks in Dallas, 4 weeks in Washington DC, 1 week back home, and 3 more weeks in Dallas. 4. Math/Reading Test At the end of my phone interview the interviewer e-mailed me a link to take a math/reading test online. The reading test was pretty simple, the math portion was a little bit more technical because you had to decipher 3-dimensional shapes and choose how many boxes each shape was constructed of. There is NO possible way to finish this test within the time allotted. I am pretty adept at math and very quick at it to add, but I did not finish within their given time frame. 5. 2nd Phone Interview The following day my interviewer called me back to schedule another phone interview. This interview was more like the ones I am used to. There were more personal and experience related questions involved. I was surprised to find out that the same person conducted both of my phone interviews. 6. Driving History Check Following the 2nd interview I was asked to provide some information regarding my driving history and consent to a check. It is important to note that I barely made the cut for having a record with at least 3 years of driving. 7. Roleplay /Interview After my driving record checked out, I went to a site where I had to roleplay. I was given 30 minutes to go over a big packet of papers about what my business was and what the policies were. What I did not realize was that you get to keep and reference the packet throughout the roleplay. At first I panicked but then I calmed myself down and was able to do pretty well I would say for the rest of the process. Directly following the roleplay I had an interview with the district manager who was very friendly and went into more depth about my work experience and then offered me the job. 8. Background Check / Drug Test GEICO did an extensive background check and even had me fax my high school diploma to them for verification. I was surprised to find out the drug test was the hair test which was kind of a bummer for me because I am a girl and already have pretty thin hair. Currently I am waiting to leave for training. I was hired a month ago but they do these trainings in groups so I will be starting in a week. I applied in May and it is now July.

Good experience with this company and interview process. They asked questions pertaining to past job experience and questions regarding the job itself. The recruiter was nice and friendly, as well.

      Colloquio

applied and was asked to do a assessment which was pretty straightforward. Then did a 20 min zoon interview with a recruiter. They explained a little about the job, salary, training and that I would be invited for a 2nd interview with the leadership team. A little strange interview also, they didn't really ask any questions about myself, just asked how many times I've shown up late for work in my past job and why I had a gap in my employment. A few days later I got a automated email that the job had been filled already. Seems just because you are told you made it to the 2nd and final round doesn't mean you will. They seem to hire first come first serve.

I did a zoom interview, which wasn’t the issue. The issue was I felt like there were no questions asked linked directly to the job I was applying for. I’m use to more behavioral based questions and they asked a lot of random filler questions, had me guessing why are they even interviewing me??

Employment gap history… which I thought was illegal
