      Colloquio

Lengthly process about 1 month over all, but personally I enjoyed the role play despite the majority on here. My experience went like this. 1. Applied on line, took them almost a week to contact me to set an interview. 2. Basic phone interview describing the job and basic questions about myself and job history, reasons for leaving blah blah blah 3. Online assessment. Reading and spacial comprehension test, pretty simple. Take your time to get it right but try to get through as many, correctly, as possible. I enjoyed the spacial comprehension. It seemed kind of like a lumosity game...ish. 4. They contacted me quickly for another 45-60 min phone interview. Again pretty basic. Asked Star style interview questions... "Tell me a bout a time when you had an angry customer, what did you do, how did it turn out..." Why do you want to work for Geico? Sell yourself and your past experience to fit the job at hand if you haven't been in the field before. basic stuff guys. Scheduled for an in person interview. 5. I thought it was an in person interview based on all of the feedback on here but it went different than expected. I was thrown directly into the role-play everyone talked about but I had a really good time with it. Heres what to expect. - Person shows you into a mock office with 2 stacks of papers on the table red pens, a highlighter and calculator. They read you a paper and set you up with a 30 minute CD player and give you 5 extra minutes incase you need to pause/rewind/and rearrange your stuff based on what you learned. -Take the time understand that they want you to be able to know to use your customer service skills while being able to multi task and absorb information. These skills are needed for the job and you may be on your own a lot so it's important they can see that you are able to fly solo a bit. -As the recording goes on, Take out the pages with reference material on them, put those forms in a pile and all the wordy information is there to give you the gist of what they expect but you won't need it when they start doing the mock scenarios. Put it in a pile too so you know what papers to ignore. - I had a few scenarios to complete; The first was a customer with pictures of a busted piece of equipment and I had to probe for information, was there a previous claim?, who damaged it?, how long ago?, based on a chart I figured out the cost of repairs, it's current value and what the deductible was and wrote a check to the company. Filled out some paperwork, I think I did it at least partially right. I don't think they care too terribly much about that though. -A pushy repair guy who I negotiated his terms based on new vs used parts and talked him down on labor costs. Respected and reminded that we needed each other for future business. Let's work together, and he did. - A deal was left by a coworker on Vacation and I said I'd ask my manager what we could do because I couldn't talk the guy down and it wasn't worth what the repairs cost. I found out later that it could have been listed as a loss but there was no way I would've known that - I received a phone call from a coworker and had to get information from him to fill out my forms. ***Ask questions to get your page filled out. They don't just tell you what to ask for. - Someone dropped off a packet and I had to figure out the best way to schedule my routes and time for visits to businesses based on 2 grids and figure out which deals were a priority and which I had to do tomorrow because of my time limits. -This took a total of 2 hours, The guys came in when I was done and I was expecting (based on this sites previous experience that I had read) that if I got to interview with someone after the role play, I had passed and if not that I failed. They did not send me to someone but told me I passed and someone would be in touch with me. I told them about this site, which they know about it, and told them that it said if I left that I didn't get it without an interview and offer that I didn't get it. They didn't really measure me but I was told that I would get a call. I left reluctantly but got a call just a few hours later for the final interview with a manager. Have confidence. Be you. Have fun with it. The most stressful part for me was comparing my situation to everyones story on here and mine didn't go exactly like theirs so...Even if your situation is different than every other person on here your outcome can be too! Good luck Be positive. God bless :)

I received a video interview invite. After submitting the video interview, I was scheduled for a phone interview. The phone interviewer asked similar questions as the virtual interview, asked preferences, employment history and reasons why I would be a great fit
