Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso GITAI (Torrance, CA) nel mese di giu 2024
Colloquio
The interview was a multistage process that took place over two months.
- The first stage was a general screening, where some basic questions were asked about my background and the interviewer shared an overview of the company and its mission. This was fairly laid back, and hearing about the company’s efforts and future goals was exciting.
- The second stage was a zoom interview where I answered some basic engineering questions (including “draw a free body diagram for this given system”, and “look at this cross-section view of a given assembly and tell me about the parts”). After this, I was given a “homework” design task where I was to recreate one of their assemblies using CAD tools, given only a single cross section view of their existing assembly.
- The third stage was in-person at GITAI’s office, with a physical assembly task and a more detailed interview with HR on my personal work philosophy and habits. At this stage, the hiring team had identified a specific team at GITAI that would be a good fit for me. I had the opportunity to present my work to the manager of that team.
The hiring team did a good job of communicating with me when I had questions on the process, and they allowed me to interview for a slightly higher position after they learned a bit more about my background. They also did a very good job of putting me on a team where I fit best.

Domanda 1
The most difficult question was them asking me to recreate an assembly using CAD tools, given only a single cross section view of their existing assembly.
A Recruiter reached out to me, then an hour Call with CTO, I did 10-hour CAD Assessment, In person assembly assessment and finished with an In person panel interview. The whole process took about a 4-6 weeks

Wow yikes talk about unprofessionalism. The interview is such a scam, there is a phone call with a recruiter that's basically emphasizing the "you will wear many hats" bs. They also under hype their own company realizing that the candidates are over estimating since the website and online articles talk about their supposed "success". Lastly this interview it just a way to see how passive you are since they will ram a bunch of meaningless tasks.
Thanks for sharing your comments.
