The interviewer didn’t join the call until 15 mins after I emailed them about our interview time and that I am busy with work, they send me the salary range and I gave them the higher end of the range. They respond 4 days later saying that they found someone else that aligns with their standard salary ranges, which is weird that they would give you the range and ask you what your preference then use that against you. Plus they work their employees to the ground and only pay 5% bonus for busy season.
