I recently completed two interviews for the same role, and the experiences were starkly different. The first interview went very well I established strong rapport with the manager, and the team seemed genuinely interested in bringing me on board.
After a three-week wait with no communication, I was unexpectedly invited to a second interview with a different manager and a technical advisor. During this session, I was subjected to intense questioning regarding late-stage technical knowledge. I was informed that they were only considering candidates with extensive experience in technical design, a requirement that had not been mentioned previously.
Ultimately, the studio felt quite dry and corporate, lacking the design flair I am looking for, and I felt that the second interview was an unproductive use of my time.
