Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto una settimana. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Gaba Corporation (Tokyo) nel mese di ago 2016
Colloquio
I applied for Gaba online via a popular Japan joblisting site. I got an invitation for a "pre-interview" fairly quickly (meaning a five minute interview on the phone).
Called there, and discussed some details of my application. All in all it went smoothly - they ask you about your visa status, where you would like to be placed, how often you would be able to work and so on.
A few days after I got an email telling me that my application was unsuccessful, though no reason was given. Personally I feel like it might be because I am not a native speaker (though native level fluent), and because I am already in Japan with other part-time teaching jobs and was just looking to sign up with GABA for a little additional income.
I would have liked for them to provide a little more feedback as to why I wasn't invited for a real or Skype interview even though I have TEFL certification and teaching experience.
Basic interview questions followed by roleplaying with interviewer. Interviewer was friendly and explained everything carefully. The roleplaying is embarrassing and I’m not really sure what the point of it is.

Domanda 1
Teach the difference between ‘famous’ and ‘popular’ while writing notes.

It was easy and friendly, had to do two demo classes, one pretending to do it in person, another pretending to do it online. It wasn't a bad experience at all even though I was not given a job offer.

I interviewed in 2014 from the US so my interviews were all online. There were two interviews, the first focused on why I was interested in the job and the second was a demo lesson with spontaneous topic or question from the interviewer acting as a student.
