      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso GameRecruiter (Seattle, WA) nel mese di mar 2026

      Colloquio

I interviewed through GameRecruiter for a Senior Sales Representative role with one of their clients, and the experience was frustrating because the communication started strong and then completely fell apart when it mattered most. I initially applied through a very minimal three-bullet job posting and was rejected in less than 12 hours, despite having well over the listed experience requirements. After I followed up directly, my information was passed along internally, and I was then contacted and told I was actually a strong fit for the role. That inconsistency alone made the process feel a bit unclear from the start. After my initial conversation with the recruiter, we had very active communication over the next several days, including around 18 back-and-forth emails in a 4-day span. That created the impression that the process was moving quickly, that expectations were being managed closely, and that communication would be a strength throughout the process. I then had a 60-minute interview with the client that seemed to go very well. I was told I had entered the process late and was already one of the final three candidates. At the end of the week, I was specifically told I would receive an update by Friday before the weekend, and that if I did not hear anything, I should follow up. Unfortunately, after that point, communication dropped off almost entirely. I followed up multiple times over the next two weeks and received no response. I also reached out directly to the client contacts I had interviewed with and did not hear back. After repeated follow-up, I finally received a short email saying they were moving forward with another candidate they had met in person at GDC. I understand not being selected. That is part of interviewing. The issue was the contrast between the strong, frequent communication at the beginning and the lack of responsiveness once I had invested time and was told I was a finalist. For a role centered around sales, communication, and relationship management, the process felt inconsistent and ultimately disappointing.
