The company appears to be doing impressive work; however, their interview process is outdated and ultimately wastes everyone’s time. I was invited to interview with a recruiter who seemed to be simply checking off a list of keywords. They lacked a deep understanding of the role and the necessary skills. I felt like I was leading the interview, and they didn’t ask for any additional information that they hadn’t already obtained before inviting me. By the end of the interview, it was clear that they had already decided not to move forward, yet they chose to wait another day to inform me, prolonging the waste of time just a little longer. My advice to the company is to forgo using recruiters and allow the team leads to assess candidates themselves.
