      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso General Atomics nel mese di mag 2017

      Colloquio

At one point I had a date and time scheduled for my interview for the position at the MFE facility. I was getting my information from two different people. The very next day the original recruiter called me to inform me the job position was being cancelled entirely. Later I was told by someone in the know that the program had just received a large grant and the impression I got was they didn't know what to do with the money. Another day later a further third recruiter contacted me for a position at a different division. I got 4 one on one interviews with progressively higher people up the chain of command. Starting with the recruiter, senior system engineer, his boss and then finally the division technical boss. The first couple interviews were fine and I really laid a lot on the second guy before he told me he didn't need so much technical details. The third interviewer (said he would have been my boss) started off by explaining that I wasn't used to a company that worked like this and that I have no experience in the kind of process that they have and government contracts. I suppose so. I told him about a project I spearheaded and he really laid into me. He told me it wasn't my job to come up with ideas (it's marketing's job) and asked if I was just doing that project as a hobby. The final interview was fine and the guy was nice enough. All four of them were highly focused on process and no technical questions. I was about ready to stand up and leave after his abuse, but I met with the fourth and he didn't have much to say.
