I had an interview on university campus. There were two interviewers, one with more of a technical background and one more from the business side. At this point in time I had little technical experience in the technologies they utilized and were interested in. I made this very clear multiple times throughout the interview, however, they continually asked me extremely detailed and specific questions about the same technology stack that I was quite inexperienced with. I wished they would have tested general problem solving ability and engaged in more intellectual conversation as opposed to focusing on the list of questions they had in front of them. Aside from this, the interviewers were both extremely professional and well mannered. For an entry level position, I would have expected technical expertise would have been less emphasized.
