      Colloquio per Administrative Assistant

      17 feb 2016
      Candidato anonimo a colloquio
      Marietta, GA
      Nessuna offerta
      Esperienza neutra
      Colloquio facile

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso GeoSurvey (Marietta, GA)

      Colloquio

When I arrived for the interview, I was immediately sent to a conference room to fill out paperwork (consent for background check, drug testing, etc.). Just to be clear, this wasn't a job application (that was already submitted online prior to the interview). It was a bit odd, because why waste the time if you decide to go with another candidate? I felt a little uncomfortable providing my personal details (social security #, driver's license #, etc.) for them to keep in a file before even being interviewed, but I tried to remain positive. I reasoned that I would need to provide personal details if I accepted a position, and kept my fingers crossed that they weren't shady (hey, you never know). The interview was conducted by two people. There was no real structure to the interview, they just asked random questions as they thought of them. Which is fine, no real criticism there. However, I was a bit turned off because I was referred to by the wrong first name twice. I know people make mistakes, but I found the lack of attention to detail to be a bit of an eyebrow-raiser. As the interview carried on, the same person that couldn't get my first name correct asked me if I had children. I'm no expert, but I thought that was an illegal interview question. I think it was in that moment that I knew this wasn't going to be a good fit for either one of us. Remember, interviews are a two-way street. Not only are you interviewing me, but I'm interviewing you as well.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

The interview questions were typical "tell us about your experience with xyz" or "how comfortable are you with handing xyz" type inquiries.
