I applied for the university assistantship program through the honors college and didn't make it through the first round of positions. I was contacted during the second round, a couple of weeks later and contacted for an interview.

Super simple phone interview discussing myself, experience, and interest in the position. After this I started within the next week or so. Spoke with 2 individuals one who recommended me and the person looking to fill the position.
