After a Skype interview, I was brought to an on-campus interview. I arrived a day before the official interview and had a dinner with some faculties. It was a pleasant dinner and I had a really good time. I stayed on campus that night. They have a hotel on campus!
On the interview day, I was treated with respect. I met the search committee, the dean, the provost, the vice president, and director of the library. It is interesting that they let me talk to the director of the library so I could understand what resource they had and how they could help me. It was a really good idea. I also did a teaching demo. All the questions I was asked were professional, appropriate, and related to the job. We had a lunch on campus and I had a chance to talk to faculties and staffs from other departments. I got to look around the campus too. It was a pleasant interview process.
I had several offers. The main reason I took the offer from GCU was that I really liked the way I was treated and the people I met there. They were polite, nice, and professional. I felt like to work with them in the future.
