The first step was a Telephone interview with a recruiter. Then a second telephone interview with a second more senior recruiter. I didn't get any further than that so I can't really comment on any of the next steps.

Interview process was detailed, in depth and gave a good overview of GitLab for me. It is exactly as documented in the GitLab handbook for the role I interviewed for.
