I applied (ON LINKEDIN) during Thanksgiving break, so I didn't expect to hear back anytime soon. However, I received an email the next day saying they wanted to interview me. I thought that was a bit odd, but since it was my first time applying to jobs in NYC, I thought it would be different. I was in California, and they would not entertain the idea of doing a Skype interview and expected me to fly to NY. I told them I would be in the city in December and they scheduled an appointment. My appointment time was for 1:00 pm, but I'm pretty sure they made me sit and wait for an hour or more. *Red flag for me right there*
After my interview, the CEO called me, which was odd again and told me to come in on Monday and to dress professionally. Therefore, I wore heels and a suit and went back there to learn that I was required to go to the Bronx and sell some phones. (I WAS REQUIRED TO WORK AS AN OUTDOOR SALES REP) Thankfully, I didn't have the right shoes on so they made me fill the 'after-Bronx trip' survey right there. The lady who worked there literally gave me the answers. It was all so shady. In order words, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. ITS A SCAM!!
