This was an on-site interview. It consisted of 9 rounds of 1:1 interviewing with people of varying seniority at the company. they asked many "fit" questions and there was a strong focus on "Why Goldman Sachs?". the technical questions were fairly easy and should not be a problem if you have interviewed at other more software-focused places.

The process started with an online HackerRank assessment focused on mathematics and programming. The test included quantitative problem-solving questions (probability, logic, and numerical reasoning) as well as coding exercises. The programming section required writing efficient and clean solutions, with attention to time and space complexity. After passing the assessment, I was invited to complete a HireVue interview. This consisted of recorded behavioral and motivational questions. The questions focused on teamwork, problem-solving experiences, interest in technology within finance, and alignment with Goldman Sachs’ values. Overall, the process was structured and technically oriented, with a strong emphasis on both analytical skills and communication.
