I applied in November and they got back to me after 2 weeks with an offer for a first round interview. The interview compromised of 2 parts, the first being a problem solving exercise and the second a competency based interview. Both lasted 30 min and both times I had two people interviewing me. The interviewers were friendly but they often asked for more details so make sure you've done your research.

The process started with an online HackerRank assessment focused on mathematics and programming. The test included quantitative problem-solving questions (probability, logic, and numerical reasoning) as well as coding exercises. The programming section required writing efficient and clean solutions, with attention to time and space complexity. After passing the assessment, I was invited to complete a HireVue interview. This consisted of recorded behavioral and motivational questions. The questions focused on teamwork, problem-solving experiences, interest in technology within finance, and alignment with Goldman Sachs’ values. Overall, the process was structured and technically oriented, with a strong emphasis on both analytical skills and communication.
