After the job was posted, I received contact from my boss to inform my that she was interested in interviewing me. She interviewed me within a week of receiving my application. The interview went very well and covered specifics about the career. HR was the biggest problem as I was offered $11,000 less than my asking starting salary. I based my salary requirements on my national academy, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the salary tool they have developed based on annual salary research they conduct. Negotiations with HR took 7 weeks. The person in charge of my hiring is no longer with our company, but I ended up accepting sginificantly less pay than I deserve because this person refused to conduct their own research of appropriate salaries. Otherwise, the process was standard.
