Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. La procedura ha richiesto 2 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Gopuff (New York, NY) nel mese di ott 2021
Colloquio
I interviewed for a marketing position within the delivery partner vertical at Gopuff in the Fall 2021. This was a management level role that would have direct reports. A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn for this position. The interview process consisted of the following:
- 30 minute phone screen with the recruiter
- 45 minute video call with the hiring manager
- 3 30 minute video calls back-to-back with cross-functional team members
- Take home assignment that was then presented to a panel of 5 team members, some that I hadn't yet met during the interview process
- 30 minute video call with the hiring manager (the person who would be my direct manager changed throughout the hiring process)
After I gave my presentation to the panel and had a final call with my direct manager, the recruiter called me and told me they would like to make me an offer and told me the basic details of the offer. Unfortunately, the formal offer never materialized. The recruiter would touch base with me every week or so for about 2 months, saying that there were issues with getting the role approved, but he was confident it would get approved and I would receive a formal offer. After 2 months of this, the recruiter finally called and told me that all hiring was on hold. He was still confident that I would receive an offer, but he couldn't tell me when the offer would come. It's now been 3 months since that call, and I never heard back from Gopuff.
While the interview process was rigorous, I truly enjoyed meeting everyone on the team and could have seen myself joining the team if an offer was extended. However, to put a candidate through such a rigorous interview process, verbally extending an offer, and then retracting it due to a hiring freeze is unacceptable. Prior to putting candidates through such rigorous interview processes, please ensure you are able to extend that candidate an offer.
The entire process took about 2 months. Ultimately, I am glad that I was not extended an offer as Gopuff has undergone multiple rounds of layoffs over the past few months.

- Tell me about a time when you had to defend a decision to Senior leadership to get something approved
The interview process was a bit long, but thorough on both sides so it gave me a deep understanding of the company while allowing me to sell myself to them
