      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Grainger (Chicago, IL) nel mese di feb 2022

      Colloquio

A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn. She scheduled a call with me to go over the job and see if it was the right fit for me, and it was interested in setting up an interview. Grainger does not allow employees to work fully remote and they will be going back to the office sometime in April (thats the latest update I was told). I told her that was a deal breaker since ive been working remote for 2 years now, if I had to go into the office I would only be willing to do 1-2 days since I live far away from this company. But depending on the job and compensation, I would be willing to negotiate all of that too. I decided to continue on in the interview process which she said would be an additional phone call with her to go over my experience and resume, and then she would pass along her notes to the hiring manager for next steps. I did the interview phone call and was told I would hear back from her the following week. It's been over a week and still have heard nothing. I have little patience at this point with recruiters reaching out to me who waste my time with these ongoing phone calls, talking in circles, and then when I agree to do the interview there's radio silence. Recruiters are always so fake when it comes to stuff like this. They have no problem reaching out to you and harassing you on the phone/emails several times a day and responding to you when it's convenient for them. But when the roles are reversed, your time and energy don't seem to matter once they've used you. It is very telling of how the company treats outside candidates, and their level of communication across the board. I find that to be pretty rude considering YOU reached out to me about this position, not the other way around. It takes 30 seconds to be a decent person and contact someone to tell them you're either moving forward with them in the interview process or not. Have some decency for people. It takes lots of time and effort to prepare for these interviews. Also this position does not pay in line with market salary for a senior position, so probably better to not have continued on in the interview process anyways. Senior Analysts typically are paid $100k plus, and this position didn't even come close to that.
