I made it through about four stages of the Greenhouse interviews process:
- Initial phone screen w/ recruiter.
- Secondary phone screen w/ Senior Manager, Customer Success
- Take-home assignment to create a 30/60/90 day deliverable about what I hope to accomplish in those time-frames should I get the position.
- 3-hour virtual interview broken into five sessions:
- Spoke with Recruiting Coordinator for product demo
- Spoke with Senior Manager, CS again more in-depth about role and company
-Spoke with Director, Talent Acquisition to dive deeper into management experience
- Spoke with Sales Development Manager and Product Manager for "culture add" portion
- Wrapped up with Recruiter for remaining questions/next steps
I did not get an offer, but the original recruiter I spoke with did provide the opportunity to hop on a follow-up phone call to give me feedback which I will be taking him up on.
The interview process is very structured, and focused heavily on "Tell me about a time..." questions to really get a clear picture of prior experience. Overall it was a positive experience, and everyone I spoke with was friendly and open.
The only criticism I have is that it can be difficult for those who have a current job to manipulate their schedule to accommodate some of the more time-consuming aspects of the interview. I am also located in Mountain Time and the headquarters is in New York, so it was more challenging to align schedules with the two-hour time difference.
