Recruiter interview seemed relatively positive, first step was they wanted a presentation created to present to executives of "giving distributed employees the same experience as on-site employees." The expectations were vague and open-ended, and after spending a few hours on this and submitting it, they decided not to move forward. Well, sure, that happens, that's okay, but when asked for more feedback about what would have specifically made the presentation better, the feedback was contradictory to the initial feedback. For this kind of role I had never previously had to do an at-home assignment (maybe this is something they do for all of their roles?), and I found it odd. I also would have appreciated having the chance to speak with someone technical/on that team. Overall I didn't find the experience to be very thoughtful or inclusive. Oh, and from the initial engagement to the end of the process was two weeks, even though I only spoke with a recruiter once.
