The interview process has four steps: a phone screen with the HR, a phone call with the hiring manager, take-a home design exercise, and a video chat with the team. I was rejected after submitting the design exercise and only getting a generic one-sentence feedback from HR saying "great understanding and approach" but need a "deeper dive into user research and visual designs". The exercise prompt was pretty vague and open-ended, so not sure what exactly would the team consider to be enough research and visual design. Also had no chance to have a dialogue since the company only asked to turn in a PDF report. Design rarely happen in a vacuum, would recommend the company scrap take-home exercise in the future and invite the interviewee to do a 1-hour collaborative exercise with the team or at least provide more detailed feedback. This would be more respectful of the interviewee's time.

The interview process was seamless. The talent person was proactive in telling me about what to expect and the next steps. There were just way too many rounds of interviews which prolonged the process. But everyone was super positive and gave me a really good idea of the role, scope and impact.
