Had a really positive interview experience with GMS. Starts off with a brief recruiter screening followed up by a virtual interview with an RVP, a several hour in-office meet and greet with the staff, and a final virtual interview with senior leadership.
The interview process was very straightforward, honest, and extremely informational as to what the role would entail and what would need to be accomplished stepping into the role. It was a more conversational approach and as much about determining if the role is right for you as it is making sure you’re the right fit for them.
It was one of the most transparent interviews I’ve ever been in as the RVP explained very in-depth the reason for hiring for this role, the current state of the office, and what their goals were.
Many of the questions and topics of conversation were personality, behavioral, and situational and they were specific to the actual needs of this particular office.
Base compensation range was slightly below the market rate in my area but this role but has a residual compensation that builds over several years.
This was ultimately why I was not chosen for the role as I would have needed to be on the high end of their base pay range and I come from a SAAS background and it appears they want candidates with a similar background to 3rd party hr and benefits management.
