System design - there were two interviewers and they asked me to build the system which they are building in the company. I was sort of surprised and found it funny that they expect me to build there system. 3. Hiring Manager, worst of it all. Kept interrupting while I was answering. Didn’t listen to what I was answering. Constantly replying to those annoying slack messages. He said he wants his team to be in office for 5 days no exception, he was of the opinion that people take advantage of WFH and productivity is low. I asked him for any metric that points to increase in productivity, he shot me down saying why do I need it. The meeting was supposed to for 30 mins but went on for 90 mins. No respect for other person’s time. I feel sorry for his reportees. I wasted total 8 hours of my time for this interview, including commute. After a week or so recruiter called for one more round with leadership. I told them hiring manager is RED FLAG and I can’t work with him.
