Applied through their website after seeing the job opening in the online portal. Next I received a phone call for an initial phone discussion. Initial phone screening was mostly related to standard statistical questions. Questions in Principle component analysis, hypothesis testing, dimensionality reduction, regression analysis. Expectation was to know all technical jargons by-heart. No chance were given to explain my work experience. They were looking for candidates with a formal statistical education.

Domanda 1
Mostly standard statistical questions related to the business. They were looking for candidates with formal statistics education, not just work experience
Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Guidewire nel mese di lug 2019
Colloquio
After applying online I got 1 online coding challenge followed up by a HR phone screen. A week later a technical phone interview. Overall the process was fine, the recruiter was very helpful but I was very disappointed with the technical phone screen.
Domande di colloquio [2]
Domanda 1
The coding challenge had SQL questions that needed usage of multiple joins, followed by a simple algorithmic question (Max Word counts in a file)
The technical phone screen although easy, it felt like the interviewer came in with prewritten "BuzzWord" solutions and expected me to answer it as per that, and was unwilling to accommodate my explanations.
I felt this was ridiculous, for questions like Random Forest vs Gradient Boosting, explain ROC curve, Inferential vs Bayesian statistics.
applied through campus career site, and did a online coding exercise, a phone interview about coding, and another phone interview from the manager, and got offer
