Applied on company website. HR reached out to me to set up a phone interview with the hiring manger. When the time came, the hiring manger informed me that there were other people on the call as well, but he did not say who they were. The phone interview was short (5 mins max). I assume the hiring manger thought I was not a good fit for the position and did not want to waste his time. While I understand that if that is the case, it was still extremely frustrating because I took time off work for the interview and it seems like the hiring manger would have known whether or not I was what he wanted by reading my resume before interviewing with me. Overall, it was a negative experience due to the lack or respect for my time.
