Overall, the associate product manager interview, health and wellness consisted of every question that would be asked during a product interview. However, I had a bad experience interviewing with the HEB digital team. First of all, the interviewers were not prepared and I felt like there was no formal structure to the interview. The interview questions were all out of place. One interviewer told the other interviewer “I will continue to piggy back off your questions. ” I felt like he was not prepared for the interview. Second, I could tell the interviewers were typing to each other during the interview. I could tell because when one interviewer stop typing the notification alert went off on the other interviewer computer. It’s one thing to take notes during the interview but it’s another thing to type to each other. I felt thrown off by them talking to each other during the interview. Also, the interviewers could not answer my diversity and inclusion question. They talked about the work life balance and type of work. That was a red flag there.
