The interview process was a standard recruiter call, then hiring manager call, take home test, then final round of interview panels. The initial calls were just to get to know the company and for them to get to know me. The take home test involved creating a REST API and then submitting the project to Github. The first interview panel was primarily a code review of the take home test. They asked to demo the project and asked specific questions about why I used certain tech over others. Not a ton of technical questions that you would expect from a software engineering interview (no leetcode). The second panel was mostly experience and behavioral questions. The third panel was with engineering managers and was also primarily behavioral questions. The time from initial HR contact to rejection email was almost exactly a month.
