I went in for a group interview, which was pretty fun and not to difficult. We did some roleplaying as a customer and cashier and learned about the company, then they asked us about ourselves and a few individual questions and finally, why we chose to apply at HEB. A few days later I got a call asking me if I could go in for a 1 on 1, which mainly consisted of them letting me know how i did in the group interview and asking when I could start.

Over the phone and face-to-face, was matter of fact in my responses and with my experience and knowledge I was able to land the job. Just be straightforward with the management and it goes a long way.

group interview then solo. there were about twenty-five to thirty people at the group interview and they split you into groups of five or six. From there you had to do individual pitches on certain items at the store.

It was my first job interview experience. The manager was kind enough to walk me through what I have to say and don't have to say in any future job interviews. There was two managers that interviewed one after the other but both of them proved to be quite helpful in securing the position.
